You might not see exactly what you are looking for because these are only some of the examples of what has been created for previous clients. We tint our own colors to customize our finishes for each client and often use pigments not available in house painting stores so we can create infinite variations and possibilities.

Other faux finishers may have sample boards or photos of smaller samples, we pride ourselves in suppling each client with a full scale representation of their finish before any work is begun.

The only way to show a client the finish being proposed is possible and to make sure the customer is satisfied with the finish before their job is started is to create a sample board larger than 10 or 12 inches. These are all on 24x24 or 18x28 inch masonite boards and are only a small part of the close to 200 sample boards that can be viewed for consultations. Many have greater detail that can be seen close up. Some of these are created with intentional irregularities or progressions in pattern or texture as a way to show the client what can be achieved with that particular set of colors and technique. But all of these finishes can be as regular or “wallpaper like” as desired.

One of the tricks to look out for that other faux finishers will try is to only produce a small sample sometimes one foot in size claiming they will be able to recreate the finish on the larger scale. One of the crafts of faux finishing is learning the skills to create each unique finish on a large scale.

Another mistake many faux finishers make is not knowing the importance of proper preparation of the surface. If a price for decorative painting seems too low to be true be sure to ask what sort of preparation the contractor is planning on. Without proper preparation and priming it does not matter how good the final project looks it may not last.

We also offer the use of a air cleaner to minimize fumes and orders on our job sites.
