rotator

Los Angeles area decorative and faux painters equipped and experienced for difficult situations.

Faux Finishing LA has extensive experience in implementing large scale jobs as well as great skill navigating complicated situations and complex problems that often present themselves in custom built homes. Here are photographs from a few of our past jobs showing the skills and equipment used to work around and protect homeowners property.

Bathtub Painting Bathtub Finishing Bathroom Ragging

Although fully insured there is no reason to take chances with an acrylic tub they can chip easily and even break under weight. Whenever work is required above a bath unit precaution is used to avoid placing any ladders, scaffolding or even boots on the tub surface. Here are three examples of wood blocks that are placed on rubber cushioned pads to avoid any potential damage to the homeowners property. In the second photo a wood set up was fashioned to keep every surface completely safe. In the third we were hired to repair someone else's sloppy rag finish.

This set of curved stairs required several different height settings. Both a scaffolding and plank as well as step ladders were used to get hands on access to every inch of this wall. Notice at no point is any equipment on the railing, the homeowners property was never in danger of being damaged.

Ladders Walls Scaffolding Ceiling Plank Wall

This built in table top (covered by painters plastic) presented a problem with getting the scaffolding close enough to reach the upper areas of the wall and because the drywall was not constructed well enough an extension ladder may have buckled the seams. The screen was removed and plank was placed between an exterior extension ladder and the interior scaffolding.

Hands on contact with every square inch of surface to be finished is needed for most of our jobs/projects. It may be safe to stand on these drywall constructed outcrops but we believe it is more important to safeguard the owners property so ladders, scaffolding and a plank were used instead.
Another example of one of our custom tinted solid/opaque colors, rather than setting up a full scaffolding to reach the ceiling line ladders and a plank were used to reach this ceiling line.
